This is a report of the 1919 Transcontinental Motor Convoy, documenting the movement of the convoy from Washington, DC to San Francisco, California along the Lincoln Highway and the participation of then Lieutenant Colonel Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Report on Truns-Contimental Tripe
l. I was detailed for duty as obsorver on Truns-Continontel
Notor Truck Trip on the day that the train left its initial point,
(Washington, D.C.), Being impossible to join the train before evening
of that date (July 7), nothing is known by me of the proliminary arrange-
ments and plans for the trip, nor of the start from Washingtone I joined
the troin at Frederick, lid., the first night's stop out of Washingtone
2. I have not atany time boen furnished by any authority with
information concerning the nature of the report desired; therefore, for
purposes of this report, the subject is divided into the following genoral
hoads:
A - Matericl.
B - Porsomol and Administration.
