PURPOSE To meet with the Executive Board of the American Medical Association. II. BACKGROUND, PARTICIPANTS, PRESS PLAN A. Background: When you met last year with the AMA Executive Board you saw Doctors Parrott, Palmer, and Sammons, and Mr. Miller. This year the Executive Board would like to talk to you about your budget proposals in health, AMA actions to control health costs, and a costs study they are conducting. The AMA National Health Insurance bill (H.R. 6222) which would offer income tax credits for individuals purchasing a qualified private health insurance plan is in Committee. B.
