Your guests will arrive through the Diplomatic
Reception Room and will be escorted to the Red Room for
mixed drinks.

You will be escorted via elevator to the North
Portico where you will greet Prime Minister Thorn.
NOTE: Photo coverage of greeting.
You will escort Prime Minister Thorn to the Red Room where
you will join your guests for mixed drinks.
Dinner:

You will escort Prime Minister Thorn to the
State Dining Room for Dinner.
At the conclusion of dinner, you will rise and propose a toast
-- Prime Minister Thorn will respond.

State Dining Room, The White House. Mrs. Ford
will host the official presentation of the new
publication "The First Ladies. " The book,
published by the National Geographic Society as
a public service, will be sold by the White House
Historical Association, with proceeds used to
defray the book's printing costs and to buy
historic items for the White House. The book
chronicles First Ladies from Martha Washington
through Mrs. Ford.

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- PRESIDENT FORD DISCUSSED THE U.N. GENERAL
ASSEMBLY'S ANTI-ZIONISM RESOLUTION WEDNESDAY WITH THE BODY'S
PRESIDING OFFICER, LUXEMBOURG PRIME MINISTER GASTON THORN.
THEY MET FOR 60 MINUTES IN FORD'S OVAL OFFICE, FORD REPRESENTING
THE NORTH ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANIZATION'S LARGEST POWER AND THORN ITS
SMALLEST.
A WHITE HOUSE STATEMENT SAID THE TWO FOUND "NO BILATERAL PROBLEMS
OF ANY SIGNIFICANCE" BETWEEN THEIR TWO COUNTRIES BUT ALSO REVIEWED
WORK IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY WHICH MONDAY PASSED AN ANTI-ISRAELI
RESOLUTION CALLING ZIONISM A FORM OF RACISM.
THE STATEMENT DID NOT DETAIL WHAT WAS SAID ABOUT THE RESOLUTION,
WHICH BOTH AMERICA AND LUXEMBOURG OPPOSED. BUT, WHILE POSING FOR
PHOTOGRAPHERS AT THE START OF THE MEETING, FORD TALKED OF
IRRESPONSIBILITY ARISING "AT A CERTAIN POINT" IN THE UNITED NATIONS.
HE SMILED AND ASKED THORN, PRESIDING OFFICER OF THE ASSEMBLY'S
CURRENT 30TH SESSION, "HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR NEW RESPONSIBILITY?"
THORN STARTED TO REPLY. THEN BOTH MEN LAUGHED.
"IT'S NOT AN EASY WAY TO START OUT," FORD SAID.
THORN, LUXEMBOURG'S FOREIGN AS WELL AS PRIME MINISTER, SAID HE
ALSO WAS INVOLVED IN REPRESENTING HIS GRAND DUCHY IN THE EUROPEAN
COMMON MARKET COUNCILS.
"I HOPE YOUR HEALTH IS GOOD," FORD SAID.
MOVING FROM BILATERAL AND U.N. MATTERS, THE TWO ALSO DISCUSSED
NATO, EAST-WEST, DISARMAMENT AND WESTERN ALLIANCE SUBJECTS, THE WHITE
HOUSE STATEMENT SAID.
