Dear Dr. Graham:
Thank youvvery much indeed fo r your inter-
esting letter of July 1, suggesting the two case
studies which Mr. Tillett might work on.
In regard to the first one, I do not have
the material, all of which is in the files of the
State Department, so that there is very little
I can do to contribute to this work
The
second one is so highly personal that I don't
think I want to cooperate in publicizing it any
more than it was at the time, which was quite a
lot.
I am extremely sorry to send you that I
fear will be a most disappointing reply to your
very thoughtful suggestions, but I think you
will agree that there isn't nuch I can do on the
first one andwill understand my feeling about the
second one.
