1. During 1950 I predict the largest enrollment of elementary and
secondary school pupils in history.
2. I anticipate a substantial increase in citizen activity on
behalf of better schools.
(
3. I hope and expect that Federal funds will be provided for the
general support of elementary and secondary education within
the States.
4. Community college programs will be organized in many sections
of the country. These institutions will provide a well-rounded
education for youth in the two years beyond high school and

for adults.
5. Many more high schools will adopt Life Adjustment Education
programs to prepare our youth more adequately to live and work
in today's world.
