Mounted Inspection.
Sunday Morning at 9:30.
l. You had the rottenest inspection in the Battalion this morning.
2. Your rolls were not of uniform size.
3. The rolls on the horses, especially the sergeants and single mounted men
were not properly put ono
4. The strap ends were not in the keepers.
From the above reasons and because it was evident that you did not bry to have
a good inspection, there will be another at 9:30 A.M. sunday morning.
If that one is not the best ever put on , there will be another at 2,30 P.M.
and then another at 4:30 P.M.
Drivers rölls will,be carefully made 44 inches long, strapped to the candie
of the saddle on the off horse and turned over into the saddle.
Cannoneers rolls "will be uniformily made 22 inches long, and placed in the
luggage racks lying down. There will be three on each carriage including the American
caissons.
"All men who are not mounted will make dismounted rolls and fall in at the
rear of the battery. No one except Cooks, Stable Police and the Guards on post will
be excused from this inspection.
By order of the Battery Commander.
