SHOEING OF ANIMADS,
All animals of this Division will be rough shod immediately
as far as it is possible to do so.
II.
DEAVE TRAINS.
The following telegram from G.H.D. 2 is quoted for the infor-
mation and guidance of #17 concerned:
"The Commander in ohiei of the Armies has issued in-
structions prohibiting the use of trains by French
soldiers on leave and E rearest has been made on the American
Army to prohibit the invasion of commetoial trains by American
soldiers on leave. Pherefore you are directed 00 issue the
necessary instructione prohibiting of nommercial trains
by American soldiers (enlisted non) whis on leave to leave
areas or other points where leave trains are provided for such
travel".

ITI. PRINTED PASSES
Ant organizations desiring printed passes can arrange for the
same with Sergeant Ailliam J. Strüe: Re uncartal Hoadquarters, 137th
Infantry; price thirty (80) franes per thousand.
IV. OFFICERS AND ENLISTED MEN DESTINED FOR DUTY IN GERMANY.
The following telegram from G.H.D., is puolished for the infor-
mation and guidance of all concerned:
"H A 8 R Feb, 6th, 1919, C.G., 2nd Army.
No. 5551 Gaze All officers and enlisted men destined for duty
in Germany should have full winter equipmente Officems should
take bedding rolls.

V. ARTICLES OF ISSUE.
1. Retions - Component Purts.
H m: - Pursuant to Pare ?, Sec. 3. 0.0. 176, G.H:d. A,Fie
october 11, 190.8, and with reference to Circular No. 57 Ho: S.C.S.,
1918, ham, when available, will be issued to troops at the rate of
16 ounces per man per month, in lieu of 16 ounces of bacon.
Carned Soup: - elective pebruary 1st, canned soup will be
added as a component of the Garrison and Field The allow
ance will be 4 ounces per ratioh.
Figs, Dates and Rasims: - The supply of figs and rasins is
now plentiful, and the supply of dates will soon be sufficient to
meet the needs of all concerned. Quartermasters shovld therefore
submit requisitions on the proper depot for a supply of Iigs, rasins
and dates, reducing their calls for evaporated fruit, jam and prunes
accordingly.
Becon: - The attenti n of all concerned is again called to
the requirement that bacon in crates be iesued when availabl before
that in cans.

Following is an extract from Circular No. 8; office of Chief
Quartermaster Hq. S.O.S. Aok... dated Jamuary 22, 1919.
"148 G-4. Following instructions wäll govern regarding
rations carried by troops to Ports of Embarkation; Afrer troop
train meal service operated by Quartermaster Corps is on satis.
factory working basis, troops entraining at Le Mans Centez: for
St. Nazaire or Brest, or tho Se entraining from St. Aignon-Noyers
