II. ERRORS IN MONTHLY RETURNS AND ROSTERS. The following is published for the information and compliance of all concerned. More care will be exercised in future by officers charged with the preparation of Monthly Returns and Rosters in order that errors noted herein are not repeated; "GENERAL SERVICE" AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCES France, Feb. 27, 1919. From: The Ad jutant General, American E.F. To: Commending General, 35th Division. Subject: Errors in monthly returns and rosters. 1. The Ad jutant General of the Army, under date of February 5, 1919, informs that: (a) "The montly returns from organizations in the ..E.F. are being received without the Record of Events called for by instructions for preparing their returns or with Record which is en- tirely insufficient." (b) "It is also noted that montly rosters of organizations, from practically all of the rgani zations in the Exped- itionary Forces, are defective in that they do not account for changes in personnel as required by special regulations i75a, paragraph 37, sub-paragraphs E and F, and paragraph 38, sub-par8graph E and F, also chang es #2 S.R. 57a 02". 20 The necessary steps will be taken to see that these defects are corrected in returns and rosters submitted, by organizations under your command, in the future. 3, Monthly returns which do not contain all information, in the Record of Events, called for by instructions, or rosters which do not account for changes of personnel as required by special regulations, noted in sub (b) par. 1, will be returned to the officers charged wi tn their preparation, for correction.
