I,Wm.A.Noland of lawful age, being first duly sworn
upon oath state that I am a son of the late Barnet M. .Noland who was a bro-
ther of Jesse Noland, both of whom were sons of Smallwood Noland, who at
one time owned lands in Blue Township, Jackson County Missouri, west of
Raytown and Independence Road, and South of the Westport Rpad and North of
Chécago and Alton Railroad. My uncle Jesse has been dead, to the best of
my recollection over thirty years. His heirs are his widow Elizaheth Nol-
and and his children, Andrew Noland, now living in Jackson County Missouri;
John Noland who has been dead about ten years, and Nannie Noland now the
wife of Richard Love. I have no knowledge of my cousin John Noland.ever
having been married. Sarah Cox, daughter of said Smallwood Noland was my
aunt.She was a widow many years before herl death.
