U.mills by his Deed of Trust, dated the 7th day of April A. D. 887 and recorded in the Recorder's office, in Jackson County, Missouri, in Book 15.4 page 505 , conveyed to William Chrisman , as trustee, the property hereinafter described, IN TRUST, to secure the payment of the promisory note in said deed described : And Whereas, It was provided in said deed that in case of the death, inability, refusal to act, or absence of said trustee from Jackson County, Missouri, then the Sheriff of said Jackson County shall become the successor to said trustee in the title to said property, and the same become vested in him, the said sheriff, in trust for the purposes and object of said deed, with all the powers, duties and obligations thereof: and whereas the said William Chrisman 3 trustee, as/ aforesaid has refused to ach 2 And Whereas. Default was made in the payment of two of said notes secured by said deed, by reason whereof 1, WILLIAM S. SITLINGTON, Sheriff of Jackson County, Missouri, did, at the request of the legal holder of said note s proceed to execute the powers to me given by said deed, and did, on monday, the 16th day of gune , A D One Thousand Eight Hundred and ninety having previously given twenty days notice of the time, terms, and place of sale, and of the property to be sold, by advertisement printed in the Independence Daily sentinel a ne wspaper published in the ,City of Independence County of the courthouse door Jackson and State of Missouri, a copy of which advertisement is hereto annexed at in , the licty of Endependence. aforesaid, expose to sale for cash to the highest bidder, at auction, the said property and real estate hereinafter described : and at said sale, napoleon B. Wallace being the highest and best bidder for the sum of Sixty-fivo hundred Dollars, the same was struck off to him at that 100 price and sum. Now, Therefore, KNOW ALL MEN By THESE PRESENTS, That I the undersigned trustee in consideration of the premises and the sum of Sifty five hundred Dollars, 100 to me paid by the said County of Jackson napoleon B.
