Wallace, to me personally known/who being duly sworn, makes oath and says+ I have lived in Jackson County, Missouri all of my life, except two years, during which time I lived in Wisconsin. I am one of the brothers of William H. Wallace and John C. Wallace, both now deceased, who bought from the heirs of E. B. Hollaway in the year of 1883 the East half of the north=west quarter and the West half of the North- east quarter and the East half of the North-east quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 30, and the North half of the Southeast quarter of Section 30, except a rectangular tract out of the North- east corner thereof, 36.25 poles east and west by 18.64 poles north and south, and the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 30, all in Township 48, Range 30 in Jackson County, Missouri, together with some adjoining lands, all being known as the Hollaway Farms That this affian and William H. Wallace were brothers and practiced law together as partners from the year 1885 up to the time William H. Wallace retired from the law business, a few years before his death which accurred in October 1937. That the affian1 was familiar with all the business affairs of William H. Wallace, who consulted with the affiant concerning the same,and the affiant often attended to some of his personal business. That the affiant remembers the purchase of the Hollaway farm by his brothers, william H. Wallace and John C. Wallace, in the year of 1883, but does not remember the exact date of the deed except by reference to the Abstract of Title. That the affiant always has been familiar with the possession and location of this farm, having been brought up on a neighboring farm. That the affiant remembers the sale by John C. Wallace and William H, Wallace of an undivided one-third interest to L. H. Willis of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and the re-purchase from Willis of the Willis one-third interest in 1891, The affiant having been consulted about the re-purchase. And, the affiant remembers very well the sale and conveyance by John C. Wallace to William H. Wallace of one-third interest, which was a short time before the death of John C. Wallace. The affiant has always been familiar with the possession and occupancy of the Hollaway Farm by William H. Wallace, and knows of his own knowledge that William H. Wallace has been in actual possession of said lands and every part thereof since he acquired the full title in 1891 up to the time of his death in 1937, claiming title thereto under the deeds from the Hollaway heirs; John C. Wallace and L. H. Willis farming and improving the land and making extensive improvements there. That such possession has been actual, open, notorious and continuous under a claim of ownership, adverse to any and all other persons.
