Gen Marshall and Gen Bradley in testimony on MacArthur case were
the 2 best witnesses in the V. P. is experience in Congress.

Big 4 meetings in Paris are still bogged down. There is no pro-
gress.
In iran the situation is still deadlocked on expropriation of
British oil properties.

Thinks postal rate increase will be nearer Dept recommendations
that he had reason to expect. House Committee will report out the bill
tomorrow.
CHAPMAN
Denver meeting of Demo Nat Comm is proceeding very successfully in
getting out information about government policy.
