V. P. will not have a tax bill on Senate floor before August 20. THE PRESIDENT Proposed cancellation of Monday meetings. No Objection ACHESON Harriman is still doing a great job in Iran but the situation is not in the bag. Sept 15 or 17 there will be a meeting of the North Atlantic Pact Council In Ottawa. India and Pakistan are on nd-(t)-erhooks. Forces on border are activated and we may have a break out in armed conflict, and the possi- bility of a religious war thru out the Middle East with millions murdered. LOVETT Army and Navy will be in readiness by July 1st 1952. Air Force is only service which is deficient. This is caused by shortage of materials and machine tools. BRANNAN The agricultural prospects for this year are good in Western Europe.
