My dear Miss Berry:
The President has received your letter
of October sixteenth and appreciates your interest
in letting him have this expression of your views.
He asks me to advise you that on October seven->
teenth he returned S. 14:07 to the Senate without
his approval.
I am sending you the enclosed copy of
the President's veto mossage for your ready
reference.
