Dear Arthur:
I appreciated most highly your letter of January
thirtieth inviting me to be present at the unveiling
of the mural at the Liberty Memorial. I surely
95-6
wish I could come but conditions are such that I

don't believe I can make it this time of year.

I was present, of course, when that ceremony took
place in 1921. It was my privilége to present the

national flags to General Pershing, Admiral Lord

Beatty, General Diaz, Marshal Foch and General
Jacque.
I certainly would like very much to have a hand
in the dedication of this mural but I doubt very
much whether I can get to Missouri much before
next summer.
Sincerely yours,
SARRY Sa TRULIAN
