72/6/00 2.8. 4690 February 3, 1950 Aide Dear Arthur: I appreciated most highly your letter of January thirtieth inviting me to be present at the unveiling of the mural at the Liberty Memorial. I surely 95-6 wish I could come but conditions are such that I PP7276 don't believe I can make it this time of year. x1P71957 I was present, of course, when that ceremony took place in 1921. It was my privilége to present the xPP71-A x282-A national flags to General Pershing, Admiral Lord xP171830 Beatty, General Diaz, Marshal Foch and General Jacque. I certainly would like very much to have a hand in the dedication of this mural but I doubt very much whether I can get to Missouri much before next summer. Sincerely yours, SARRY Sa TRULIAN Mr. Arthur C. Wahlstedt President Liberty Memorial Association Kansas City 6, Missouri XPP7457 88
