cmc P.P.S. SPRINGER, Mr. Paul LeBaron Philadelphia, Penna. 450 2/14/47 - Ack- 2/18/47. Letter to the President stating that he has in his collection of autograph letters and manuscripts, a letter written by the famous French composer, Jules MASSENET. Asks the President if he would like it Mr. Connelly states that the President appreciates the writer's offer in wanting him to have the Massenet letter. States that the President cannot accept this generous offer. Miss Conway, July 29, 1948, wrote to Mr. Spinger SEE P.P.F. 4015 thanking him on behalf of the President for sending (copied by AS) the President the note in the handwriting of Jules Massenet, Said that his warm expression of congratulations is deeply gratifying to the President. Penciled Note: "File in the President's personal file."
