2 - Executive Director, Commission on Renovation of the Executive Mansion. C. Finished Hardware - - all of which affect the progress and completion of cabinet work d. Hollow Metal Work and Doors e. Ornamental Plaster Work f. Special Lighting Fixtures The intangibles and contingencies include: A strike, in force for some time, is delaying completion of certain Hollow Metal Work. A strike by the plasterers is threatened for Monday, August t. ? Availability of critical materials. Failure, through oversight, to fabricate and deliver items affecting several trades, or an improper or unacceptable item, causing rejection. Delays in making selections of colors for interior painted surfaces, and in approvals necessary from here out. Project contingencies caused by errors at the site, or in construction drawings or shop drawings. Possible changes or additions. Lack of funds preventing overtime work necessary to capture lost time or to accelerate. The obtaining of the necessary additional funds in the immediate future. It is obvious that this or any other date forecast for completion and occupancy later than that of the current schedule should be closely guarded and not made known to subcontractors and others responsible for the completion of the work at the earliest practicable date.
