August 11, 1952 Dear Mrs. Mesta: It was a pleasure to visit with you the other day and I appreciate most highly your giving me the facts with regard to your treatment by the career men in the State Department. Yours is not the first case of the kind I have run across and 1 am going to do something about it before I get out of office. I hope you have a pleasant trip back to Europe and 1*11 be looking forward to your visit later in the fall. & Sincerely yours, = ARCHIVER RECORDE HARRY 8, TRUMAN Honorable Perle Mesta Sulgrave Club 1801 Massachusetts Avenue Washington, D. C. (Note: Copy of Mrs. Mesta's attached report was sent to Hon. Dean Acheson - marked Personal and Confidential)
