Dear Mrs. Mesta:
It was a pleasure to visit with you the other
day and I appreciate most highly your giving me
the facts with regard to your treatment by the
career men in the State Department. Yours is
not the first case of the kind I have run across
and 1 am going to do something about it before I
get out of office.
I hope you have a pleasant trip back to Europe
and 1*11 be looking forward to your visit later in
the fall.
