*p. On 8 July, B-29's will employ maximum effort against rail-
road bridges, with Chinnampo port as a secondary target. Fighters will
maintain air superiority, perform interdiction, and provide escort, cover,
and close support missions as required. B-26 missions will include inter-
diction and close support, with railroad bridges as primary targets.

4. General:
a. The United Nations Commission on Korea (UNCOK), which is
now at Taejon, will shortly establish its headquarters at Pusan. (FECOM)
(SECRET)
b. CINCEUR reports as "encouraging developments': (1) indica-
tions that the Soviet NCO's of the class of 25 and the privates of 26 are
leaving the Soviet Zone for demobilization (SECRET), and (2) there is
some indication that in the near future passes may be reissued to members
of the U.S. Military Mission in Potsdam (TOP SECRET). G-2 comment:
Apparently CINCEUR believes the Soviets would not make these moves if
they intended to intervene directly in Korea or initiate other direct military
actions elsewhere. (SECRET)
