CO SUMMARY Washington, D. C. June 18, 1945 10:43am ANN RONOVA (Phon.) for Mr. BRENNAN. He is ill and is going home. She asks if DOCKERSON (Phon.) is coming back this week. He says, no, in a month. He could not tell her the other day as it was secret. She says "I knew that too." He says, "He would not discuss anything post-war." She says, "This is present war. I have a letter from him from one of the Chief of Staff of the Air Forces but I could not write it or say it on the phone. But a month will be soon enough. She says, "In the meantime I can see you and I can tell you part of it.' They then discuss an air-conditioner. 10:45am CORCORAN to House JUDICIARY COMMITTEE (?). Busy. 10:51am CORCORAN to House JUDICIARY COMMITTEE asking if the joint com- mittee on the California tidal limits (Phon.) had started hear- ings this morning. Woman says yes. He asks who is the first witness. She says the first witness is the Attorney General of California Mr. KINNEY (Phon.) She says the hearings will con- tinue for two or three days and will adjourn around noon for the EISENHOWER program. 12:25pm CORCORAN to BOB SHEA (Phon.) asking him to come to the office today at 2:30 P.M. to meet him and YOUNGMAN, who leaves for New York today about 4:00 P.M. CORCORAN said they would discuss "what we're gonna do about COLEMAN and the rest of them." COLEMAN will be in tomorrow or Wednesday. 12:45pm JACK BURLING to TOM CORCORAN. C--Hello. B--Tom? C--Yes. B--Jack Burling. C--Yes, Jack. How are you? B--Pretty good. C--I'll know an awful lot more this afternoon than I know now. I'm going over to a luncheon meeting. B--Well, the point is that I've discovered there's a count of ethics square on the point that prohibits me from doing anything. (Representing the defendants in the Jaffe case. ) C--Why?
