CO SUMMARY Washington, D. C. June 25, 1945 8:55am CORCORAN to Senator LISTER HILL. CORCORAN wants to see Senator HILL at 11:00 A.M. today. CORCORAN said all those "wierd things I told you about are coming true and I'm in real trouble." HILL will see him at 11:00 A.M. today. 9:20am CORCORAN to ANNETTA advising her that he is at Secretary ICKES' office. He asked if there were any calls for him. No. 9:45am MR. CURRIE to CORCORAN who was not in. Latter will call CURRIE. O.K. 10:33am NATHAN GREEN in New York to CORCORAN who was not in. CORCORAN will call him. 10:37am MARTY PENDERGAST of Lever Bros. in Cambridge, Mass., to D. WORTH CLARK. Former asked if latter had yet had an opportunity to see ANDERSON, new Secretary of Agriculture, regarding the matter in which Lever Bros. is interested. CLARK said ANDERSON has been too busy but he has a call in to him and will see him today. WORTH CLARK said he saw Judge VINSON over the week-end and he can be relied upon to help if needed. CLARK said ANDERSON is a very good friend of his. 11:00am KINSEY ROBINSON to WORTH CLARK discussing the "U-44" provision and the power company situation. CLARK had seen PURCELL (Phon.) whom CLARK regards as a "smart fellow. They discuss stock in Nebraska Power Co. ROBINSON said RICHEY talked to PURCELL Saturday about the Nebraska Railroad Commission and calling of securities of Nebraska Power. CLARK said both he and TOM are sure PURCELL is "for us." KINSEY is going home but will be back July 7 or 8. KINSEY is also checking on "this South American thing" in the meantime. 11:25pm HERBIE BINGHAM to D. WORTH CLARK asking if they could have lunch today. CLARK is busy. CLARK asked if BINGHAM still takes radio cases and BINGHAM said yes. CLARK said he has a friend, a re- sponsible person, who is setting up a radio station in Twin Falls, Idaho. He's the representative of a responsible group out there and it would be a good account for BINGHAM. HERB will see him tomorrow. CLARK says that BILL YOUNG and HERB (another HERB) have some rights for Los Angeles on Wide World, akin to "Musak, II and both are going to California soon. HERBIE asked how Judge HYDE'S (?) boy came out and WORTH said, "We had a hell of a time. We had to go clear to the Surgeon General and we sent him over for another examination and he's over at Walter Reed today and I'm not too excited about it. I went down and saw Col.
