- 4 - E--And they are getting a good reception on it, too. C--Yeh, by now. Everybody'd like to get it over with. E--Yeh. well, I'll be down next week, TOM. Is there anything I could do up here that would be of some convenience for you? C--Not right now. I am very interested in finding out whether those ALVA JOHNSON articles are going to be published in the Saturday Evening Post, but keep that under your hat for a while. E--Yeh, I don't think so. C--I shouldn't think they'd be fools enough to, but you never can tell. E--Yeh, O.K., TOM. C--And if they do, after having had so much publicity as I have, more don't hurt you. E--NO, what the Hell! I mean, it is a re-hash. C--Yeh. E--O.K., TOM. 1:42pm HENRY GRUNEWALD to JOHN NASON, stating: "I just spoke to YOUNGMAN up in Boston and I have a very dear friend here who has a very interesting situation which has been recommended to the Chinese government and also to the Russian government, and I know what he's talking about and he comes highly recommended, and a very dear friend of mine and Mr. YOUNGMAN suggested that he meet you at your convenience and that you two get together and then -- he's already got the recommendation of Dr. BUCK (Phon.) and Mr. TSING or Mr. CHEN (Phon.) - or whatever his name is -- and he can tell you all about it from A to Z how far he's gone." HENRY said he didn't want the fellow to go down a blind alley and that's why he's suggesting the man see NASON. This man has all the material with him. It was agreed that this man, whose name is Mr. McCASHEN and who is now at the WILLARD HOTEL, would come to NASON'S office to see the latter at once. 2:30pm WORTH CLARK to CORCORAN, who is out but will return about 3 P.M. WORTH asked where HENRY GRUNEWALD is and Mrs. BEHAN said she did not know, that HENRY had been trying to contact CORCORAN all day. 2:45pm ARNOLD KIEHN to CORCORAN who is not in. KIEHN wants to see him for "just a minute." 3:20pm CORCORAN to SENATOR PEPPER, who was not in. CORCORAN spoke to CLAUDIA, asking: "Is his father better?" and CLAUDIA said: "No, it was kidney infection -- he's so old (Apparently speaking of Pepper's father). CLAUDIA said she may not go to BILL PAULEY's party Sunday. TOM may not go either.
