CLARK said that he wanted to check with CORCORAN to see if it would
be all right for him (CLARK) to go inasmuch as he has played poker
with MOW before and "after all, he's on the other side." CORCORAN
said it would be perfectly all right and that "he (MOW) and FRY

4:35pm HOBSON, at RFC, to CORCORAN. The following conversation took
place:
H--Tom, JOE (PANUCH ?) has been in to see the big boss (JOHN
SNYDER ?) and the big boss liked him very much.
C--That's swell.
H--He's asked him to do some work for him and so forth and so on.
There's no question of him keeping him.
C--Well, the problem is whether he gives him that particular
title (General Counsel ?).
H--Yeah. I know.
C--Yeah.
H--Maybe he will, but you can't push that too hard.
C--I grant you that.
H--What do you hear? Anything new?
C--Nothing.
H--Who's gonna be the new guy? (At RFC ?)
C--(He laughs) I don't know.
H--Well, JOHN doesn't either. (He laughs)
C--I think it came so damn fast that they haven't thought it
through.
H--Well, that's true. I know
C--You see, they thought of EMIL (SCHRAM) and then they didn't
have a substitute when he said no.
H--Well, he didn't say no, did he?
C--He'll eventually take it.
H--I think so if they keep at him.
C--But he's just like a woman--he' gotta be asked and asked and
asked.
