CO SUMMARY
11:09 AM
TOM CORCORAN to DONALD RUSSELL who is not in. CORCORAN told RUSSELL's
secretary that he recei ved word from LEO CROWLEY "and Mr. CROWLEY
wanted to suggest and asked me to deliver it to Mr. RUSSELL the name
of Mr. RALPH FLANDER of Vermont formerly the Director of the Federal
Reserve Bank of Boston and a member of the committee for economic
development and the head of the LAMSON Machine Tool Company--one of
the biggest machine tool companies in New England, and he'll find out
all about him in Fortune (magazine) of two months ago. And he's a
Republican. And that I'll call Mr. RUSSELL back as soon as I get back
from going down to Justice."
11:11 AM
JOE PANUCH to TOM CORCORAN.
JP - TOMMY?
TC - Yeah.
JP - Several things. I've got this letter of yours from PEPPER about
this--
TC - Yeah.
JP - How important is this?
TC
- That's third. KILLIOM's first. BROWNELL is second, and I have
to get you the stuff on him and this kid's third.
JP - Yeah. Because we don't want to rock the boat on this other stuff.
TC - I know. That's right.
JP - Now look. The KILLIOM thing is pretty much in the bag. He
expects to have him moved not later than the first of the month
on your stuff, either; if you don't give me that (BROWNELL) stuff,
he's willing to teletype for it, but--
TC - I'll have it for you in the morning.
JP - He figures that it's a mistake.
TC - I'll have it for you in the morning.
JP - O.K. Then we'll move this other one. Now let me tell you about
our side of the delivery on this thing which as yet hasn't been
affected.
TC - Oh, my god1
JP - Now, this guy (COLTON?) went up to talk to (UGO) CARUSI and
(PAUL P.) RAO. Do you know these guys?
TC - Yeah.
JP - Now, both of 'em said, "Well, there's nothing available right
now. But if TOM CLARK says so, we'll fix you up.
TC - Yeah.
JP - So, I thought that the thing to do would be to have this fellow
(COLTON?) meet GEORGE KILLIOM, then have GEORGE follow up with TOM.
Incidentally both of these guys are going to see CLARK this week.
TC - Well, we'll take care of that.
JP - Yeah.
TC - O.K.
