From 2100/20 (Korea) to 2100/21 (Korea)
1. Situation in Brief:
U.S. X Corps units made 3 important gains: the 17th U.S. RCT

Capitol Division made advances up to 10 miles against very light opposition
along the east coast, capturing Chuchonhujang and Hoemun; and the 26th
ROK Regiment encountered stiff resistance in seizing Huksu. Patrolling
continued to characterize the U.S. I Corps front line action. Little or no
hostile resistance was encountered by the advancing ROK II Corps units,
except on the right flank where the 10th ROK Regiment, opposed by 2 enemy
companies which offered moderate delaying action, seized Yongwon. ST.
PAUL and ENGLISH provided both day and night fire support for the ROK
Capitol Division with excellent results, Naval air flew 104 sorties on 20
November, and U.N. aircraft under FEAF control flew 499 sorties, includ-
ing 211 combat. (FECOM)(SECRET)
2. Weather:
Multi-layer cloud decks occurred with the passage of the cold
front, with visibility generally 6 miles. Forecast: Generally clear with
good visibility. (FEAF) (SECRET)

jiwon. Units of the 24th U.S. Infantry and 1st U.S. Cavalry Divisions con-
