On 29 November, FEAF Bomber Command flew 22 effective sorties dropping 1000 pound GP bombs, 500 pound GP bombs, and incendi- ary clusters on enemy occupied cities, lines of communication, and the international highway bridge at Chongsongjin. Results were reported as excellent in all cases with 2 definite hits being observed on the bridge. (FEAF) (SECRET) j. FEAF Combat Cargo Command airlifted 298 passengers, 1,279 evacuees, and 468 tons of freight, including 243 tons into Pyongyang and 103 tons of ammunition and supplies to U.N. forces in the Changjin Reservoir area. On 30 November, 1 MIG-15 was sighted in the Kanggye area by a flight of 4 F-51's. No contact was made. On 29 November, 4 C=47's dropping supplies to friendly forces in the Changjin Reservoir area were damaged by ground fire. Two aircraft received major damage although all apparently returned to their bases. A B-29 flying in the Sunchon area, was attacked by an unidentified conventional enemy aircraft. The attack was broken off as soon as B-29 gunners opened fire. No fire was observed from the enemy fighter. On 28 November, 1 enemy aircraft attacked and damaged a C-45 enroute from Pyongyang to Kimpo airfield. (FEAF) (SECRET) n. FEAF claims of damage inflicted on the enemy on 29 November include; 3 tanks, 16 vehicles, 6 artillery pieces, 1 ammunition dump, 1 supply dump, and 1 POL dump destroyed; and 26 vehicles, 1 artillery piece, and 2 railroad tunnels damaged.
