1. Weather:
During the period 10 to 12 February, the weather over Korea was gener-
ally broken to overcast low clouds early in the period, with visibility greatly
restricted in snow showers, changing to excellent flying weather during the
middle of the period, and then becoming broken middle and occasional low
clouds south of 38N at the end of the period, with good visibility.
Forecast for 13 February: Increasing cloudiness, visibility generally
good except in light snow showers in the west coastal area. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. United Nations Situation:
GROUND
B. United States I Corps: All Task Forces in I Corps Zone were dis-
solved 11 February and reverted to parent units; the Corps is regrouping
south of the Han River, which was reached 10 February against virtually no
enemy opposition. Inchon and Kimpo airfield were occupied on 10 February.
The 1st ROK Division is moving to and will assume responsibility for the
Kimpo Peninsula. In the 25th U.S. Infantry Division area, the 12th ROK
Regiment has moved to an assembly area 2 miles south of Kimpo airfield and
has begun the relief of the 24th U. Infantry RCT and the Turkish Brigade.
The 15th ROK Regiment will move from the southeast outskirts of Seoul to
Kimpo airfield. The 35th U.S. Infantry RCT is along the south bank of the
Han River between Yongdungpo and Seoul Friendly patrols attempting to
cross the Han due south of Seoul were repulsed; air and artillery repulsed
a strong enemy patrol attempting to cross the river in the same area during
the night of 11 February. The 27th U.S. Infantry RCT is in reserve 3 miles
southwest of Anyang. 3d U.S. Infantry Division: Elements of the 15th U.S.
Infantry RCT moved up to within 1 to 2 miles of the Han River southeast of
Seoul; a patrol withdrew after contacting a large enemy group on the south
bank 3 miles southeast of Seoul; the remainder of the RCT is in position along
a line from 3 miles south to 5 miles southeast of Seoul. Task Force Meyers,
