1. Weather:
Scattered high and middle clouds becoming overcast high and broken
middle clouds. Visibility 3 to 5 miles in haze, improving to 10 miles.
Temperatures 33 to 66 degrees F. Forecast: Overcast high and broken
middle clouds with bases at 12000 feet. Visibility 3 to 5 miles in haze.
Temperatures 46 to 62 degrees F. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Enemy pressure increased during the period in the I US Corps sec-
tor, decreased against the IX US Corps, and was lighter opposite the X
US Corps and the ROK III and I Corps.
Air observed 1100 enemy
vehicles during the night, of which 510 were southbound. (FECOM)

3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND
a. General: UN forces were reported withdrawing to new
defensive positions ten miles south of the 38th parallel in the I US Corps
sector and generally holding previous positions across the rest of the
Eighth Army front. (FECOM) (SECRET)
b. I US Corps: Front-line units of the Corps were last re-
ported withdrawing to an east-west line from a point southwest of Munsan
on the I'n River running eastward approximately 10 miles south of the
38th I -allel - to the Corps right boundary 6 miles west of Kapyong.
