1. Weather:
Broken to overcast high and middle clouds, scattered low clouds.
Visibility 10 miles lowering to 1.to 3 miles in scattered showers.
Forecast: Broken to overcast high and middle clouds, scattered to
broken low clouds. Visibility 4 to 8 miles. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Hostile resistance was generally limited to patrol clashes.
Fighting was heavy in the area east of Kumhwa, and a battalion strength
counterattack forced slight friendly withdrawal northeast of Inje. An
agent reported 8000 enemy troops and key installations in Marhwi. A
70 vehicle enemy convoy was sighted moving south along the Pyonggang -
Kumhwa road. (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND:
a. General: Friendly task forces reached Fyonggang in
the I US Corps sector and gains up to 3 miles were made in other sectors.
UN patrols continued to probe ahead of front line positions across the
