1. Weather:
Scattered cloud conditions over all Korea during the period. Visi-
bility was generally good. Temperatures 70 to 95 degrees F. Fore-
cast: Scattered high, middle, and low clouds in the east sectors. Visi-
bility good. Temperatures 65 to 95 degrees F. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Hostile groups continued active resistance to friendly patrols and
launched numerous attacks up to company strength near Kumhwa and
Sohwa, (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND
a. General: Friendly patrols probed up to 2 miles southwest
of Pyonggang in the I US Corps sector, as other units attacked from the
Chorwon-Kumhwa road and advanced up to 5 miles. Patrols were active
in other sectors and all hostile attacks were repulsed. The 187th Air-
borne RCT closed in Camp Chickamauga, Japan. (FECOM) (SECRET)
b. I US Corps: 1st ROK Division patrols encountered numer-
ous small enemy groups from the Imjin River west toward Kaesong. Pa-
trols from the 1st US Cavalry Division probed the area between Chorwon
and the Imjin against platoon to company strength groups. Farther east,
