1. Weather:
Scattered to broken high clouds over all Korea. Visibility 6
miles. Forecast: Multilayered clouds south of 39 degrees, with
overcast high and broken low and middle clouds north of 39 degrees.
Visibility 6 to 8 miles. (FEAF)SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Hostile platoon to company-size resistance continued, with
most activity in the east-central sector, north of Yanggu and Sohwa.
Enemy mortar and artillery fire was also heaviest in this area.

3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND:
a.
General: Friendly units continued patrolling and
repulsed numerous small-scale enemy attacks. The Turkish Brigade
moved into the line near Chorwon, relieving the 25th Canadian Bri-
gade, which occupied positions along the Imjin River south of Yon-
chon. (FECOM) (SECRET)
b. I US Corps: All forward units of the Corps continued
to probe enemy positions from the Imjin River east to Kumhwa. Small
enemy groups were engaged or observed south and east of Kaesong by
1st ROK Division patrols. 25th US Infantry Division units repulsed a
platoon strength attack west of Yonchon, as other friendly elements
encountered groups up to battalion size along the Yonchon-Sibyon Road
and 7 miles northwest of Chorwon. Farther east, 3rd US Infantry
Division patrols had light contact in the Kumhwa area. (FECOM)
