1. Weather:
Broken to overcast low and middle, and scattered high clouds.
Visibility 3 miles. Forecast: Broken middle and broken to overcast
high clouds. Visibility good. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Hostile squad-to company-size groups offered light to moderate
resistance to friendly patrols and probed UN lines at several points in
the east-central sector, without penetration. (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND:
a. General: Friendly patrols continued to probe enemy
positions across the front. X Corps units consolidated advance patrol
bases on newly-won high-ground positions northeast of Yanggu. The
Colombian Battalion closed into assembly areas north of Hwachon and
was attached to the 21st Regiment of the 24th US Infantry Division.

b. I US Corps: Patrols from the 1st ROK Division and the
1st US Cavalry Division engaged squad- to platoon-size hostile groups
across the Imjin River and north of Yonchon. 1st Commonwealth Divi-
sion and 3d US Infantry Division units adjusted positions and patrolled
without contact. Elements of the 25th US Infantry Division remained in
assembly areas south of Kumhwa. (FECOM) (SECRET)
