Weather: Weather on 6 November seriously hampered air operations. Multi- layered clouds prevailed over all Korea. Improvement from north to south after 0600 (KT). Visibility 2 miles in rain. Forecast: Scattered low clouds throughout Korea except on the east coast. Visibility three to live miles. (FEAF) (SECRET) 2. Enemy Situation: Activity decreased across the front. Light probing attacks were made, the largest of which was by a company against ROK positions north of Mux- san in the western sector. Mines, antitank fire, and mortar fire damaged six UN tanks north of Yanggu. Mortar and artillery fire continued very heavy against Cavalry Division positions northwest of Yonchon, as 3g 369 rounds fell in in the Division sector during the period. On the east coast, 800 rounds of mortar and artillery fire fell on Capitol ROK Division positions, The adjusted total of vehicle sightings for 5-6 November is 659, of which 578 were south- bound. (FECOM) (SECRET) 3. United Nations Situation: ARMY: a General: Light enemy probing attacks were repulsed, and UN forces adjusted and consolidated positions. UN tank patrols probing along the Yanggu-Marhwi road destroyed one enemy tank, Other patrols continued to engage small groups in numerous patrol clashes.
