1. Weather:
Clear with occasional scattered low clouds. Visibility 15 miles.
Forecast: Stratus in the morning will reduce visibility to one to three
miles and ceiling to 3, 800 feet until 1100 Korean time. Stratus will become
broken low clouds at 2,000 feet with visibility improving to six miles. Battle
line temperatures minimum 25 degrees, maximum 40 degrees. (FEAF)

2. Enemy Situation:
Activity decreased to light probing attacks, the largest of which were
platoon=strength, principally in the central sector southwest of Kumsong.
The adjusted total of vehicle sightings for 28-29 November is 1, 666, of
which 1, 103 were southbound. (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
ARMY:
a. General: UN patrols engaged enemy groups of up to company
strength in patrol clashes across the front. UN artillery was active against
numerous troop concentrations and gun targets. The ROK Army established
Task Force Paik which assumed operational control of the ROK Capitol and
8th Divisions at 291000 (KT) and assumed responsibility of the Sonam
command for security and anti-guerrilla operations in southern and south-
western Korea at 260600 (KT). Elements of the ROK Capitol Division closed
in assembly areas at Yosu and Masan; the ROK 8th Division closed in
assembly areas at Chonju, Kumchon, and Namwon. (FECOM) (SECRET)
