Weather: Weather was non-operational in all target areas during the night of 13-14 January, except in extreme east sector, and until noon on 14 Janu- ary, with subsequent rapid clearing except along the SW coastal sectors. Battle area temperature ranged from 35 degrees maximum to 15 minimum. (FEAF) (SECRET) Forecast for 151800-161800 (KT) shows: beginning clear, becoming broken to overcast with showers in the north by mid-period, with similar weather progressing southward accompanying a frontal movement. Visi- bility will vary from 1-6 miles in fog, rain and snow showers. Battle area temperatures will range from 39 to 19 degrees. (FEAF) (SECRET) 2. Enemy Situation: Small enemy groups probed 1st ROK, 3d ROK, and 1st US Marine Division positions and continued to engage UN patrols across the front. The adjusted total of vehicle sightings for 13-14 January is 211, of which, 180 were southbound (FECOM) (SECRET) 3. United Nations Situation: ARMY: a. General; UN forces repulsed light probing attacks and con- tinued to engage scattered enemy groups in patrol clashes. 1st British Commonwealth Division artillery fired on SP and artillery positions west of Yonchon.
