1. Weather:
Scattered high clouds over all Korea. Forecast: Broken high
and scattered middle clouds over most of Korea. Broken low stratus
expected along the west coast. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Enemy forces continued sporadic and generally small-scale
probing attacks in the west and east-central sectors during the period.
Enemy opposition to UN patrol actions continued, with groups from
squad to company size engaging friendly patrols in scattered clashes
in all Corps sectors. Light to heavy enemy mortar and artillery fire
was directed against UN positions. The adjusted total of vehicle sight-
ings for 1-2 April is 1, ,693, of which 837 were southbound (FECOM)

3. United Nations Situation:
ARMY:
a. General: UN forces continued aggressive patrol opera-
tions in all Corps sectors and repulsed scattered enemy probing attacks
in the west and east-central sectors. The 40th US Division completed
relief of the 2d ROK Division in the west-central sector. The 2d ROK
Division is en route to rear assembly areas. Elements of the 5th ROK
Division, relieved from front-line positions by elements of the 11th
ROK Division, passed to operational control of the ROK army and moved
to an assembly area near Yangyang. (FECOM) (SECRET)
b. I US Corps: An undetermined number of enemy attacked
positions of the 1st US Marine Division two miles south of Panmunjom
