1. Weather:
Weather was reported generally non-operational during the period
severely limiting all but medium and light bomber night sorties. (FEAF)

2. Enemy Situation:
Enemy activity was light throughout the period, consisting primarily
of brief probes and scattered patrol clashes. The highlight of enemy action
was an attack by forces totalling one battalion on MLR positions of the 25th
US Division on 30 June. This attack, supported by artillery and mortar
fire, was repulsed after a one=hour engagement. The reported total of
enemy artillery fire during the period was 15, 121 rounds. The heaviest
fire fell on 25th US Division sector. The adjusted total vehicle sightings
for the period is 3, 656, of which 1, 760 were southbound (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
ARMY:
United Nations forces continued to patrol across the front, re-
porting scattered contacts with enemy groups of squad and platoon strength.
A raider party of the I ROK Division encountered resistance from an unde-
termined number of enemy and hill positions about 10 miles northwest of
Yonchon on 1 July. U.N. troops occupied the position, repulsed a counter-
attack by an estimated enemy company, and withdrew after a seven-hour
