C 0 SECRET P Y September 7, 1951 Mr. Robert Schwartz Elting Arnold Further requests for information have been received from the Committee on the "China Lobby". Attached is a list of names which is being submitted to the Bureau of Internal Revenue for informa- tion in their files. Please make the same searhces on these names that you did on the list previously submitted to Internal Revenue. However, the report should be submitted separately from that previously requested and the completion of that report should not in any way be delayed because of this new request. We have also received the following statement: "Full informa- tion on the accounts and assets of the Bank of China, New York, is needed". Please prepare a complete transcript of the report on Form TFR-603 filed by the New York agency with regard to its own assets and of the report filed by the agency with regard to the interests of the head office of the Bank of China. I realise that it would be mechanically more efficient to make photostats of the existing reports but I do not think it is appropriate that actual facsimiles of the reports be distributed outside of the Department. Aslo, please prepare summaries of all reports submitted by the New York agency with respect to other persons. I t would be useful but not essential that all of these materials be available by noon of September 14. TRUMAM (Initialed) E.A.
