THE KANSAS CITY STAR. SUNDAY, NOVEMBE cisco; Ed McKimm, Omaha, Neb., and Col. Harry Vaughn, Washington, TRUMAN A LUNCHEON GUEST. Senator at Military Order of World Wars Event. Vice - President - Elect Harry S. Truman, who admitted he was SO busy he forgot he was invited to the last meeting of the Military Order of the World Wars a month ago, was in attendance yesterday at the annual Armistice day lunch- eon at the Kansas City Club. He was busy again yesterday and de- parted after saying a few words following the meal. The speaker at the luncheon was Maj. A. T. Netterblad, jr., from Ft. Riley, where he is an instructor in the mechanized cavalry school. He related his experiences as com- mander of the 3rd mechanized cav- aley troop of the 3rd infantry di- vision in the European theater. E Kemper Carter, president of th chapter, presided. K So fic of Ch ter No CI tio 194 tio L, THE GANGS ALL HERE was the theme of a reunion last night wi fra nt when Harry Truman, ex-captain of Battery D, 129th field artillery, 35th division, lic T vice-president-elect of the United States, was guest of honor. It was a happy and World War I veterans, with the new vice-president joining in for the fun. He play a song or two on the pian o, which he did, and in a few minutes "his boys" d singing- (Kansas City Star photograph).
