SATURDAY, JUNE 3
8:15 a.m.
Departure from American Embassy Residence, Paris
9:00 a.m.
President and Mrs. Kennedy and party will depart
from Orly Airport, Paris.
(1 hour and 40 minutes elapsed flying time; no
change in time zones)
10:40 a.m.
President and Mrs. Kennedy and party will arrive
at Schwechat Airport, Vienna.
(Airport arrival ceremony)
Receiving line: President Schaerf,
Chancellor Gorbach, Vice Chancellor
Pitterman, Foreign Minister Kroisky,
and others. Brief word of welcome
from President Schaers with briof roe
sponse from President Kennedy.
National anthems. Review of honor
guard. Representatives of the American
Embassy and the Diplomatic Corp will be
introduced.
11:00 a.m.
Departure from Schwechat Airport
11:30 a.m.
President Kennedy will call on His Excellency
Dr. Adolf Schaerf, President of the Republic of
Austria, at the Hofburg, accompanied by Secretary
Rusk and Ambassador Matthews. Chancellor Gorbach,
Vice Chancellor Pittermen, Foreign Minister Kreisky,
and State Secretary Steiner will be present.
Mrs. Kennedy and others in the motorcade will
proceed to the Embassy Residence. Members of
the official and unofficial party will stay at
the Hotel Bristol.
11:45 a.m.
Mrs. Kennedy will arrive at the American Embassy
Residence, Weidlichgasse No. 1-5.
