(This Southern politico-economic ares, although roughly only
about the size of Oregon, most probably includes the conspir-
ator defense contractors that not only did you in as a candi-
date for the Republican nomination but may also have been
the sources of plots to assassinate John F. Kennedy and Martin
Luther King and to destroy the two party electoral system in
the United States.)
Second, prevention of an anticipated Complex infiltration of
the New Party which will qualify on the ballot in an estimated
30 states by election. The infiltration purpose is to vindicate
the Republican right wing convention policy of no compromise
with your liberal wing by diverting sufficient peace votes
from the Demecrats to win.
(This is your "new polities" that will be infiltrated. It
rightfully belongs to the followers of you and Senator Mc-
Carthy.)
Third, establish the proposed investigation of the Central
Intelligence Agency as a campaign issue in 1968.
The New Party carries the hopes and dreams of a great many con-
sciencious youth and peace activists who wanted Senator McCarthy
for President and a new politics coalition. of course It cannot
win unless it is truly regarded by the American electorate as the
ticket of a government of national union. If it could secure
you and Senator McCarthy as the ticket without either of you
abandoning your own parties it would be so regarded. The candi-
dates and their backgrounds and the new politics program can
ensure victory either as a new party or within the old parties,
one or the other of which would have to be liberalized to meet
the New Party threat. Either way would ensure victory of program.
A minimum objective should be to win New York or California or
both to offset the possible trading power of a Wallace victory in
up to five Southern states grouped around the politico-economic
area indicated above which is the core of the Wallace-Maddox-Thur-
mond-Connally axis that has been so destructive to the hopes and
dreams of the vast majority of the Ameriean electorate.
Since this cesspool area of American polities is so small and so
vulnerable to the registration of the black vote, comparatively, it
requires little youthful manpower to conduct an effective spoiling
campaign. The talents and enthusiasm of such civil rights youth
as has invaded the South earlier or the youth campaign that in
vaded New Hampshire would cancel out the menace of the Wallace-
Maddox-Thurnond-Connally axis as far as electoral votes and a
right wing alternative strategy of electing the President in the
House of Representatives.
