JOHNSON, Daily Diary Mrs. Johnson began her day at (Place) White House Date Friday, November 1/, , 1966 Entry No. Time Activity 6:30 Breakfast with President and talked to him. 8:35 South Grounds 8:40 Went to Jean Louis 9:15 Returned to White House and began working with Bess on thank-you notes for the trip. 10:00 Down to East Room with President for his Press Conference on operation. 10:25 MdNamara and Rusk came to 2nd Floor for meeting with President. 10:35 Returned to 2nd with President 10:53 To South Grounds for pictures 11:07 Back to 2nd Floor. Dictated to Barbara Keehn on Malaysia. Worked with Ashton on Desk 1:00 Went out to helicopter with Lynda and Ashton to wait for President. 1:21 Left in helicopter with President, Mary, Vicki and Simon. 1:39 Boarded A7 #1 at Andrews. On plane autographes picture to Gov. and Mrs. Brown taken with (TJ in California. Dictated letter to them to Mary Slater. Ate omelet and then went to take a nap. Slept until the plane landed. 4:12 Arrived Randolph in San Antonio 4:39 Arrived Main Ranch. With President, Lynda, McHughs, Ernest Stubbs, toured the Reagan, and Martin Ranches in LBJ car. M/M Melvin Winters joined at Martin Ranch. 4:59: Continued on the Malechek's house, North Runway, and Reagan Ranch. 6:25 Main House and to President's office to see pictures of President with Luci taken at hostess party. 6:35 Living Room with the Winters, Luci and Pat.
