S: I am doing a piece on Laos and I'm appalled by it, particularly the kinds
of battles. It's a pretty empty thing.
K: I'm appalled because it involves our VN position. We are not
for a land war in Laos.
S: That's my feeling too.
K: It's a pretty cheap shot. Here's a negotiated settlement done on communist
terms, if they won't xxxxxx keep that how will they keep their word in VN. It will
effect negotiations in VN. They will not take Laos unless it's free. Do you
want to come in?
S: Sure, anytime.
K: Come down at 11:30.
