D: I am coming to Washington tomorrow morning. I will do some more of my
homework.
K: I will get some documents together.
D: Haig will be there won't he?
K: Yes, he will but I will be in NY.
D:
I will simply rely on him.
K: When are you arriving? I will have a car meet you.
D: At 10:37 on American Airlines.
K: On IN the Metropolitan Opera. The President will not be able to to this.
D: The VP is coming. I don't know what happened. I just assume the fellow
you turned it over to would let me know. Tucker told me Agnew is coming and
I
didn't give it to him. It's conceivable it came through two channels.
K : It must have because the President didn't do it. One other thing. The
President wanted at some point to send someone around to various capitols to
focus interest on POW's. He wondered if you would be interested.
D: When would it be? (In essence) it's a PR thing.
K: Yes, but also you would be in VN things.
D: I guess I won't see you tomorrow.
K: Maybe at dinner but it's a mob.
D: I can think this over and talk to you. How long a jaunt would it be?
K: A few weeks.
D: Asia as well as Europe?
K: We could extend it and keep you on that problem in some way.
D: I'm not asking in any way.
K: That's what makes you so attractive,
D: I will have to focus on that. I will see you tomorrow night. I will look
forward to seeing those documents and I hope the Zerox hasn't taken off the date
like with those others. (It's the dardnest thing to try to read docuements when
you don't know when they were written.)
