HAK - Ambassador Sullivan

12:20 p. m.
Sullivan: How are you doing? We are batted down with a great
delegation outside the building. Cornell students. Does it look like
the President will be able to see the two ambassadors.
HAK: I don't think today. He's got the Governers conference this afternoon.
Sullivan: Do you think tomorrow?
HAK: Yes, maybe.
Sullivan: Ellsworth said the President said he would see him Monday.
HAK: I doubt it because of the governors conference.
Sullivan: Phil is here. He would like to say a word to you.
Phil: Hello Henry, how are you.
HAK: I am doing great.
Phil: I read your backgrounder. It was quite a session.
Phil: I would like to see you sometime today. Will you have some time.
HAK: Maybe at the end of the day.
Phil: Why don't I call again. I'll call Haig.
HAK: OK, depending on when I get of the the governors meeting.
Phil: I look forward to seeing you.
Sullivan: The President called me this morning. Today is Ellsworth's
76th xixdxx birthday. If the President could phone him, it would be a nice
gesture.
HAK: I'll see what I can do.
