K: Am I getting married again?
C: No, that Arthur Schlesigger has been giving you advice in letters and is
coming next week.
K: He is an old friend and often comes down.
C: When again?
K: He was supposed to come last week but he couldn't. He may come down this
coming week.
C: Where?
K: Oh, usually the San Souci or the Metropolitan Club.
C: Has he been writing you ?
K: We have been writing for 15 years.
C: Has he been giving you a list on the war of does and don'ts.
K: We just
gentle philosophy. And I don't give an accounting of my
correspondence.
C: Do you exchange notes with Martha Mithcell?
K: Not that I remember.
C: She's never written you a funny note re something that's (in print ? )

K: It's possible but I don't remember. Do you have the notes?
C: Yes, they will be fold at Hamilton's next week. (ha, ha!)
K: Arthur's an old friend and we have corresponded for a long time.
