K: I'm just going through the Indonesia package. The President
will be fit to be tied if we don't get something going on this. Sueharto
was here it must be a year ago now. He promised Sueharto we would
do something to survey their military situation.
G: That's what we are proposing. As soon as we get an okay on
that paper we'll move. But the way I know the President wants to do
more on the LST. The Pentagon says
K: I'll do something with them.
G: We think they can absorb it.
K: His feeling is we are going to drive them over to the Soviet supplies.
G: I don't think that's the problem. We described that problem in
the paper, but let's get the team out there to explore the situation. One
other thing: if you can give us the okay let's move by the end of January,
so I
do more on the LST.
K: You will have it by the end of the day.
G: One other thing: Indonesian training of Cambodians. We are
working now on a redraft -- we are moving on that. It should be in
your hands either today or tomorrow.
K: Okay, thank you.
