I'm trying for Sunday to put something\ntogether with a sense of proportion on the diplomatic side as\nopposed to sort of the charges that are flying back and forth\non the political side.\nK:\nWell those charges are not worthy of comment.\nS:\nWell, I'm sorry but this is some sort of flak I'm getting from\nmy editorial side here. Now regarding the President's speech\non Thursday night. I read that speech as the followon to some\nof the things that Ziegler had been saying on the record.\nK:\nI'm amazed that anyone after all\nyou can bet your bottom\ndollar that I had something to do with drafting it.\nS:\nRight.\nK:\nI did not think there was anything new in the re.\nS:\nI agree with you. But you know the President---\nK:\nWith the President diassociating himself from what I said.\nThis is off the record since I had a major hand in drafting\nwhat he said, it's not very probable is it?\nS:\nWell I think the basic impression that's given leaving aside\nthe part that he's disassociating himself from you.\nK:\nLeave that aside. Has anything fundamentally changed since\nmy press conference, that's the important issue.\nS:\nI think the impression that we all got in the Thursday press\nconference was that there were relatively insignificant issues.\nK:\nI said compared to the issues that have already been settled.\nS:\nWhat's happened in the week since is that the remaining\ndifferences have steadily x emerged in the public mind as"
